What were your concerns to transition to starting your own business? What have you learned since becoming an entrepreneur? What aspect of entrepreneurship do you appreciate the most? What is your why?
Story of how it was created?
The journey of my company spans a little over 25 years, but its concept began in 2020. After the birth of my daughter, I faced significant health challenges, undergoing multiple surgeries and relying on 15 daily prescription medications—all while in my 20s. It was a tough period, and I eventually told my husband that this approach wasn’t working for me. I started exploring and integrating holistic alternatives into my life, including Young Living essential oils. This approach has helped me become prescription free.
As the years passed and my daughter became a mother herself, the idea of legacy took on new meaning for me. I’ve always had an entrepreneurial spirit, but it hadn’t found a clear direction until 2020, when I decided to create my own all-natural cleaning products and build a brand. In the first two years, I focused on branding and product formulations, driven by offering quality products. I only sell what I personally use at home. As I developed products for my own household, I gradually introduced them to the market.
What I once perceived as years of struggle has evolved into my God-given mission and purpose. I focus on using natural ingredients and eco-friendly packaging, making it easy to reduce, reuse, recycle, or compost. It reflects a cycle of giving back.
What separates you from your competition?
I believe it’s our commitment to transparency and integrity. I list every ingredient on my packaging, ensuring customers know exactly what they're bringing into their homes. It’s about clarity and trust; we use genuine natural ingredients, not complicated scientific terms.
What have been the biggest challenges?
Time and money have been my biggest challenges. I’m bootstrapping everything while still working a full-time job. These challenges are common among entrepreneurs, and while they can be daunting, they are also manageable.

Goals for upcoming year + Next phase of the company?
This year, I aim to expand into wholesaling and expect to complete our first deal before summer. I want to grow my brand and earn the trust of my customers, which will drive traffic to our website for direct-to-consumer purchases.
What were your concerns to transition to starting your own business?
I didn’t have significant concerns because the venture became a purpose-driven mission for me. The motivation to succeed the right way outweighed any fear.
What have you learned since becoming an entrepreneur?
I’ve discovered that people truly want to help. Collaborating with individuals like Andy and Marianne from FigBrew has been invaluable. Although there will always be those who aren’t supportive, I choose to focus on the encouragement and positivity from those who genuinely want to see me succeed.
What aspect of entrepreneurship do you appreciate the most?
I enjoy the creativity involved in my work, especially in formulating products. It’s a hands-on learning experience that keeps me engaged and keeps me excited about the future growth of A Clean Home Company.

What is your why?
I am passionate about giving back and creating a positive legacy. My goal is to leave a lasting impact on the world, ensuring that my grandchildren and future generations can thrive. Contributing to the well-being of the earth and our communities is essential for driving lasting change.
Do you have a moment that brings you the most joy?
There have been many joyful moments but one that stands out is becoming a Made in the South finalist by Gun & Garden Magazine. Though I didn’t win, the recognition felt like a significant accomplishment. Additionally, formulating recipes without a scientific background has been both challenging and rewarding, boosting my confidence to keep pushing forward.

Piece of Advice
It’s okay to go at your own pace. Entrepreneurship is filled with ups and downs, and it’s important to embrace that journey. I’ve learned to be comfortable with the process, and I believe others should recognize that it’s perfectly fine to move at their own speed.
